First-aid seminar from March 25 to March 27

The PCI needs $ 1,050 US to train more than 30 people in Jacmel to become first-aid workers for three days that will start on March 25 in association with some Red Cross members.

On March 25, a group from the Red Cross of Haiti will be in Jacmel at the PCI's premises to train more than 30 people to become efficient first-aid workers. The seminar aim is to enable more people to know how to give first-aid to people injured or in emergency. "We are going to give priority to associations members from the rural areas, where hospitals or clinics are not near", president Josué Pierre-Paul declared.

The seminar will be headed by a Red Cross nurse named Manoucheka Fleuranvil. Over the start of February, Ms. Fleuranvil visited the PCI and share some experiences with the organization members in rural communities. And now she is getting ready, with her team, to come and train on first-aid.

The $ 1,050 US will be used to make medical document copies for the participants, print certificates, food for the participants, and cover transportation and housing fees for the trainers. If you would like to help, please contact us right away at (509) 31 09 9715 or pcihaiti@hotmail.com
