Funds for computer course for children

"The PCI needs $ 5,400 US to enable 50 children in need to learn how to use computer and internet over a year", treasurer Eugène Jacques declared over a public meeting on February 15.

With three computers, the Pierre-Paul Christian Initiative (PCI) launched a computer course in July 2010. Children came at different hours during the day to learn and practice. "Even though we lacked equipment and supplied, we didn't want to stay inactive while children are growing without any knowledge on computer and internet", Pierre-Paul stated.

The three computers were brought by students from south Florida university in July 2010. Four months later, Pierre-Paul set up internet in the office. Children and young adults always come to do research and have good time on internet. But with so little computers, we are hard to make our dream come true and enable more children to benefit.

With these funds, we will buy five new computers, buy computer books for the children and the teachers and the Cybercafé technicians. The budget is as follows :

- Buy 5 computers : $ 3,000 US / a year
- Pay a teacher : $ 2,400 US / a year
