Awareness on education and culture for May

Lutheran Church service
The Pierre-Paul Christian Initiative (PCI) aims to to increase awareness of the importance of education, culture and information technologies for more than 300 people over May 2011.

This awareness campaign must start on May 1st in Jacmel. About 10 churches are targeted. "One of  Haiti major problems is that lots of young people despise education and culture. And of those who get financial means, many don't care about learning and reinforcing their competencies", a PCI partner declared. While we are convinced education is the key to development no matter the field considered.

The people touched by this campaign will find opportunities to develop their skills. In cooperation with Cool Net, a cyber established by our organization, tens of opportunities are ready to be offered to them, such as training on computer, emailing, etc. "The PCI is ready to help the people touched by this campaign as long as we can, because we are here for that", president Pierre-Paul declared over the planning meeting of this campaign in late April.

More than 300 people are targeted. The PCI finds no support from organization and individuals to carry out this campaign in Jacmel. Not because we don't need funds for it, but as we find nothing for it, we will use what we have by now to do what we can: our will.
