The PCI starts to work within Lafond

On Wednesday, May 25, the PCI worked along with Lafond community leaders on development potentialities of this community, located at 6 kilometers North-east from Jacmel town, for its program which aims to form communities against violence. 

The PCI team met the first citizen of Lafond community on education and training that must take place over the summer vacations. The PCI also talked with potential candidates for Lafond community. That meeting was fruitful and the information collected were clear and meaningful. 

PCI president Josué Pierre-Paul asked the community to show solidary for one another so they can prevent and fight violence in the community, wrong information and all attempts to destroy a positive action. " You must no more accept you lose important opportunities because of a little group of men and women. You have to convince them to join us so we can walk together on the way of development", Pierre-Paul declared.

This program elaborated by the Pierre-Paul Christian Initiative and accepted by the community will be entirely presented in the coming days in Haitian diaspora members, local and international professionals. In the meanwhile, the PCI nudges the community to take on their responsibility against violence.
