"The PCI moving next to Jacmel town was a very smart and efficient idea", Géraldine Isidor declared over a meeting with PCI president and secretary general.
More and more people come to the PCI to benefit from our cyber services. People come to chat with friends, do research, scan pictures and print documents. For the last two weeks, PCI staff stated they are satisfied with people's interest for modernity and cyber services. PCI president uttered his organization will try to do its very best to maintain the service, innovate to enable more people to get into modernity.

Clothes and condoms in Raquette (Jacmel)
JACMEL - PCI officers distributed clothes and condoms to 20 families dwelling in Jacmel, namely at Raquette, next to Cool Net cyber cafe at Rue Destin. On April 5 morning, PCI members made arrangements to bring clothes and condoms to families at Raquette. That decision was made after a visit paid yesterday to poor families in that area. Naked children, unhappy parents, big families, and many young people. During a talk with those community members, PCI officers thought it was necessary to help them a bit.
"We are so happy to receive all these clothes", a mother of six children declared when receiving shirts and pants for her young children and husband. That mother said her children got no proper clothes to get out. They just get their school uniforms in bad state. But with the clothes given by the PCI, they will be able to go to church.
"Condoms are so important for us", a fifteen-year old chid said. Like others, he said he can't remain without having sexual relationships. And very often, he does it without protection. He could get sexual infections and have children he wouldn't wish to have. And that could dive him in a very unsupportable misery. the PCI preaches for chastity. But when we consider many young people can't live without having sexual intercourse. So, we gave them condoms to reduce some woes.
The PCI has booked clothes and condoms that had been given by international organizations. So the PCI used some of them to help some families to find clothes and condoms. And they are all nudged to come at the PCI whenever they want condoms and other things. The PCI is willing to help them in accordance with its capacities.

PCI plans to work with Marigot
MARIGOT - The Pierre-Paul Christian Initiative plans to enter Marigot, a town located at about 30 minutes fron Jacmel through a club where various social, religious and economic debates will take place.
On Sunday, April 3, Josue Pierre-Paul met several young adults from Marigot who wish that the PCI will extend its educational and training program to their hometown. One day before (April 2), other people fron Marigot participating in the meeting at Beaudouin had proposed the same thing. Pierre-Paul agreed. But when he saw Marigot people are interested in their development through the PCI, he thought it would be time for the whole organization to think over it.
People who met with Pierre-Paul on April 9 declared they will do their best to find a place and get Marigot people aware of the PCI coming. Later on April 3, Pierre-Paul met a member Geraldine Isidore (responsible for psychosocial activities) and got a long time talking about that. And this will be in the debates list for the April 9 great meeting.
When the PCI started in 2009, one of its founder's dream was to invade the south-east with its educational and training programs. Perhaps this is an opportunity to enable more people benefit from our programs.

Visit at Beaudouin camp
JACMEL - PCI president Josue Pierre-Paul organized an important meeting at the camp of Beaudouin on the 2nd of April 2011, where hundreds of victims displaced from Pinchinat camp are living. That meeting took place for a new project we have to launch on April 9. This projects aims to ensure people all over the country are well trained on human rights, democracy and education. More than 35 people got registered in this program and show they are willing to join the organization for a better tomorrow.
Over the meeting, the participants took advantage of this opportunity to present the PCI their needs. Their main concern is education. They would like funds to be available for children's education. They recognize education is the pillar of development in Haiti, and no change is possible without education. So, they wish the PCI and partners can support children to go to school over the coming school year.
As many of them have not finished their high school, they think a training school can be a great help for them. They need a place to learn something. Pierre-Paul promised to take some of them in the PCI computer course even though we now lack some computing supplies.
They also propose we invest in small business development. This can help them get an income and meet their responsibility toward themselves and their families.
After talking about all problems children and young adults are going through, the participants commit themselves to working within the PCI and the new project.
Help them keep learning before April 23

| Children supported by the PCI |
JACMEL - The PCI is a Christian organization founded in August 2009 to enable children and young adults to find education opportunities and psychosocial support.
Of the 70 children we try to support, 14 take part in a computer course. Today, computer is very important to find find good jobs. Unfortunately, they can't go onto the computer course because they can't pay and our organization lacks means to support them so, as the killing January 2010 earthquake has weakened all the country.
We need to raise $ 600 US before April 23 to pay the trimester fees for these 14 children. There is no minimal amount. You can give in accordance with your heart. The little you can share, in compliance with the blessings of God to you, can contribute to make a miracle in their lives and future.
You can send your gifts through Western Union. You can call us at (509) 31 09 9715 to give us the transfer number. It' easy. Don't forget: The little you can give is an important brick in the "house" of future we are building.
Don't neglect to do. Together, life can be better, and it will.
